The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. For detailed information on data protection, please refer to our privacy policy set out below this text.
Data Collection on This Website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the section “Notice about the Controller” in this privacy policy.
How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected, on the one hand, when you provide it to us. This may include, for example, data that you enter into a contact form.
Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e. g. internet browser, operating system, or time of page access). Collection of this data takes place automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior. Insofar as contracts can be concluded or initiated through the website, the data transmitted is also processed for contract offers, orders, or other order inquiries.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You may contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of data protection.
2. Hosting
We host the content of our website with the following provider:
Hetzner
The provider is Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen (hereinafter Hetzner).
For details, please refer to Hetzner’s privacy policy: https://www.hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy/.
The use of Hetzner is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable presentation of our website possible. Insofar as corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, where the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s terminal device (e. g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service mentioned above. This is a contract required by data protection law, ensuring that the processor processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmission on the internet (e. g. when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Am Hofacker 3
76646 Bruchsal

Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e. g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion takes place after these reasons no longer apply.
General Information on the Legal Basis for Data Processing on This Website
Insofar as you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR if special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed. In the case of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is additionally based on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your terminal device (e. g. via device fingerprinting), data processing additionally takes place on the basis of § 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data insofar as this is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information on the relevant legal basis in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Recipients of Personal Data
In the course of our business activities, we cooperate with various external parties. In doing so, it is sometimes also necessary to transmit personal data to these external parties. We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is required in the context of contract performance, if we are legally obliged to do so (e. g. transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the transfer, or if another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using processors, we only pass on personal data of our customers on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.
Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out prior to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and to Direct Advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE, OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Information, Rectification, and Erasure
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You may contact us at any time regarding this and other questions about personal data.
Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may contact us at any time for this purpose.
The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer need your personal data but you require it for the exercise, defense, or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.
SSL and TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
4. Data Collection on This Website
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of their website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without a legal basis; where applicable, we use IT service providers in the course of tests, maintenance, and support as processors.
When using the contact form (Kadence Blocks – Advanced Form), in addition to the information you enter, technical metadata is stored (IP address as well as information about browser and operating system). This serves to prevent abuse/spam and for technical error analysis.
In addition, form-related statistics (Form Analytics) are activated, which record how often the form is loaded, started, and submitted. This serves to optimize the form and to detect technical problems.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this was requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
Insofar as we process technical metadata in connection with the contact form (e. g. IP address, browser/operating system) as well as Form Analytics, this is done on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in security, abuse prevention, error analysis, and optimization). Insofar as Form Analytics uses cookies or comparable technologies, or information is stored on or read from the terminal device, this is done only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e. g. after your inquiry has been processed). Technical metadata (e. g. IP address, browser/operating system) and analytics data are stored only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Inquiry by Email
If you contact us by email, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Incoming emails are acknowledged with an automated confirmation. This serves solely to inform you that your inquiry has been received.
The data you send to us via email remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e. g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The following cookies and storage technologies are used on this website:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| pll_language | Asklepieion Holding GmbH (Polylang) | Stores selected language | 1 year | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest: providing language functionality) |
| <identifier>-paletteCookie | Asklepieion Holding GmbH (Kadence Pro) | Stores light/dark mode preference | 1 year | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR + § 25(1) TDDDG (consent through active mode selection) |
Note: The „<identifier>“ prefix of the palette cookie is installation-specific; the cookie can be identified by its „-paletteCookie“ suffix.
You can delete cookies or block them at any time in your browser settings. In that case, certain features may no longer be available.
5. Analytics tools
Umami (self-hosted web analytics)
This website uses Umami, a tool for the statistical analysis of visitor access. Umami is not obtained from an external provider; it is operated on our behalf and on our instructions by our technical service provider kdb.digital – Kilian Douglas Brune, Am Hang 35, 35083 Wetter, Germany, on a server located in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, see the “Hosting” section). The data collected is stored on that server. We use AI-assisted tools for analysis and maintenance; in doing so, the — non-personal — statistical data may be transmitted to service providers outside the EU. This does not create a personal reference, because the analytics tool stores no personal data.
Umami does not set cookies and does not store any information on your device. It does not recognize you across multiple websites and does not create user profiles. When a page is loaded, the following information is transmitted to the analytics server:
- the address (URL) called up and the page title
- the domain under which the page was called up
- the previously visited page (referrer)
- screen resolution as well as the browser and operating system details your browser transmits in any case
- the language set in your browser
- the time of the page view
In this process, your IP address is processed technically in order to derive the country of origin from it and to form a non-reversible identifier that groups consecutive page views within a single visit. The IP address itself is not stored — the analytics database contains no field for IP addresses. This data is not merged with other data sources.
Umami is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in statistically analyzing the use of our website in order to improve it technically and in terms of content. Because Umami neither sets cookies nor accesses information on your device, no consent pursuant to Section 25(1) TDDDG is required for this.
You can object to this collection at any time by activating the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser — Umami is configured on this website so that no data is collected in that case. Access by logged-in users (editorial staff and administration) is generally not recorded.
The statistical data created in this way does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual visitors. It is retained solely for statistical purposes without a fixed deletion period and is deleted in full at the latest upon termination of the contractual relationship with our technical service provider.
